FOREVERFORGE
Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 15, 2026 · Last updated: September 15, 2026
ForeverForge is operated as Forever Forge in California, United States. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use foreverforge.io, including the character planner, accounts, and build-sharing features. Forever Forge is responsible for the personal information described in this policy and is the data controller where that term applies.
1. Information we collect and why
- Account information. You provide an email address, username, and password when registering. Our authentication provider, Supabase, processes credentials and maintains account identifiers, authentication records, and session information. We use these to create and secure your account, sign you in, and provide password recovery.
- Build information. We process the character names, build labels, gear, talents, and other game settings you enter to calculate results, save and load builds, and create links you choose to share. Saved builds are associated with your account and include record identifiers and timestamps.
- Technical information. Our hosting and authentication providers may process IP addresses, browser and device information, request URLs, timestamps, and diagnostic or security logs to deliver the site, troubleshoot errors, and prevent abuse.
- Messages and requests. If you contact us, we use your contact details and the information you provide to respond, resolve problems, or handle privacy requests.
You can use the public planner without an account. Account details are required to register and save builds across devices. Please avoid putting sensitive personal information in character names, build labels, or support messages.
2. Email and advertising
We use your account email for sign-in and password recovery. We do not operate a mailing list or send marketing emails. If you contact us, we will use your email to respond to that request.
ForeverForge does not sell personal information, rent email lists, or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not run targeted advertisements or install advertising trackers.
3. Who receives information
We use service providers to operate the site: Vercel for hosting, delivery, and Web Analytics; Supabase for authentication and database storage; email delivery providers for password recovery; and Gmail for correspondence you send us. These services process the information needed to provide their functions, such as account data, email addresses, message contents, or technical request information.
Some item images load directly from Blizzard-operated servers. Those requests reveal your IP address and browser request information to the image provider; we do not include your account email or password in them. Links to other sites, such as Wowhead, take you to services with their own privacy practices.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or valid legal process, protect users and the service, investigate abuse, or act on your instructions. These operational disclosures are separate from selling personal information.
4. Private saves and shared links
Your saved builds are private to your account unless you choose to share them. A shared link lets anyone who has it view and copy the build, including its label, character name, and game settings. The public shared build does not include your account email, username, or account identifier.
Shared links contain a separate snapshot. Editing or deleting the original build does not change or remove that snapshot. Deleting an account also does not automatically remove shared snapshots; the link remains available without its account association. Contact us with the affected URLs if a shared build contains personal information you want removed. We cannot remove copies other people have already saved or shared elsewhere.
5. Analytics, cookies, and browser storage
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand visitor numbers and how the site is used. It processes page views, visited URLs, referring sites, approximate location, device and browser information, and timestamps. Vercel describes this service as cookie-free, using a request-derived identifier to distinguish visitors that is discarded after 24 hours. That does not mean aggregate traffic statistics are deleted after 24 hours. See Vercel’s Web Analytics privacy documentation.
We use authentication cookies to keep you signed in and support secure account recovery. Blocking or clearing these cookies may sign you out or prevent account features from working.
Older builds saved in your browser may remain in local storage until you clear the site’s browser data. They are uploaded to your account only when you choose Import Browser Builds; importing leaves the browser originals in place. Unsaved planner changes are held for the current page session.
We do not use analytics cookies or track your activity across other websites for advertising. The site does not change its behavior in response to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals because we do not carry out the advertising tracking, sale, or advertising sharing those choices are intended to restrict. External sites you visit have their own settings and policies.
6. Retention and security
We keep account information and private saved builds while your account is active so you can continue using them. You can delete individual private saves in Saved Builds or request account deletion. Shared snapshots are retained to keep shared links working, subject to privacy requests as described above.
Technical logs, analytics statistics, support correspondence, and backup copies may remain for the periods needed to understand site use, maintain security, recover data, resolve requests, or meet legal obligations. Retention depends on the purpose, provider settings, and any applicable legal requirements; deletion from active systems may not immediately remove a backup copy.
We use authenticated access and database access controls to protect account data. No internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and privacy rights
You can change your username in Account settings, change your password, and manage private saved builds while signed in. Email foreverforgeio@gmail.com to request access to or a copy of your personal information, a correction, or deletion of your account. Include any shared build URLs relevant to your request. Account deletion removes access to your account and its private saves.
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may also have rights to data portability, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent where processing relies on it, to appeal a denied request, or to complain to your local data protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing. We do not use personal information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects.
We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify your identity or an authorized representative’s authority. Please never send your password. We will respond within the time required by applicable law, explain any limitations or denial, and provide any applicable appeal process. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
8. International users
Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, those safeguards must apply to the processing, such as approved contractual protections.
Where European or UK data protection law applies, we process account and build information to provide the service you request; technical, analytics, and support information for our legitimate interests in understanding site use and running, securing, and supporting the service, balanced against your rights; and information needed to meet legal obligations. If a use requires consent, we will ask separately. Reading this policy or using the site is not blanket consent to unrelated processing.
9. Children’s privacy
ForeverForge is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate.
10. Changes to this policy
We will update the date on this page when this policy changes. For material changes, we will provide a prominent notice on the site and obtain consent where required before using information in a new way.
11. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, contact Forever Forge, California, United States, at foreverforgeio@gmail.com.
